Keep a Record: Using iPhonography with Quilting
The term iPhonography was new to me, too. But it makes sense when I use my phone for my photos, almost all of the time! But it also makes lots of sense to keep a log of my sewing machine settings: it is accessible, it is editable and it is graphic!
1. Take a photo of the particular foot used in the technique. This is the small beading foot for my Janome. I love my machine and one of the reasons is that the feet are very versatile! I use this for couching...
2. Photograph the actual stitch information:
3. Photograph the technique as it is set-up on the machine.
4. Collage it! There are numerous free and minimal charge apps for this purpose. Add notes and your settings are in one, convenient place!
This is a great idea!!!! So simple and effective! I will be keeping my phone by my machine in future!!
