A “Charmed” Note Card

Merry Christmas! Today is my day to design on http://shesasassylady.blogspot.com, but I'm sharing with you, too.

With all of the Christmas festivities drawing to a close, I’m finding myself in need of charming little cards ready to carry personal notes to friends and families. With my Gypsy in hand, I set forth to create just such an item.

The card measures 4.5” squares, uses minimal supplies and can be completed quickly!

The Recipe

  • 1 – 12 x 12” piece of dark cardstock (I used Michael’s Jewel Tones)
  • I- 6 x 12” piece of neutral cardstock
  • 1- 6” square piece of design paper
  • ribbon, ink and glue
  • The Initial and backgrounds are from Cindy Loo, the card from Just Because.

Watch the video to see how easy this charming little card is to make!

As a special gift, you can download the music paper by clicking it below.

The paper is a *.jpg file and should print from most graphic programs including Windows Paint.

It is my hope that each of you have a blessed Christmas and a wonderful holiday!

Until 2011,

TGIF it’s RGB Time!

Another week has slipped by. But, for me break has started! I hope that you have tried some of these palettes with your Imagine. Today’s palette is called, “Silent Night” As I was playing with the colors, the song popped into my head and it just seemed to fit. Click on the palette and scroll to the bottom of the page for the RGB values.

Imagination Monday

I am so excited to be feature on Pink Cricut's blog today! I had so much fun making this gift tag on my Imagine!

And the best part is...the larger poinsettia is actually a pin!

Here is the recipe:

Ingredients
Imagine
Snow Angel: poinsettia and flower basket
Winter Frolic: tag
Fabulous Finds: sentiment
Pink Cricut's Christmas Wishes Stamps
2 sheets of white cardstock
Cuttlebut and Border embossing folder of choice
Ink for edges
Sanding block
Stickles
Glitter spray
Ribbon
I-rock and gems
Glaze
pop-dots and glues
1" bar bin

  1. Load Snow Angel and Winter Frolic in the Imagine.
  2. From Winter Frolic select tag of choice. Set height to 6". Flood fill with light blue from Snow Angel Cart.
  3. From Snow Angel select poinsettia basket. Relative size to 3". Duplicate. Seperate duplicate into sections. Delete basket; print and cut only flowers.
  4. Print and Cut.
  5. Ink edges if desired.
  6. Emboss edges of tag. Sand lightly over embossing.
  7. Spray with glitter.
  8. On the duplicate flowers (from the basket) punch holes on the right and left sides of the largest printed poinsettia. These should fit the ends of the bar pin. Add pop dots to the top and bottom of cut. Do not assemble yet.
  9. Exchange Winter Frolic for Fabulous Finds. Select the tag and frame. Fill the frame with the dark blue from Snow Angel. Print and cut. Glaze the frame; let dry. Stamp the sentiment; let dry.

Create the dimensional poinsettia pin:

Slip the pin back through the holes punched on the second "flower basket" flowers. Pop dot to complete basket cut. Embellish gift tag as shown.

A special gift with a special tag! Who would have imagined?

Happy Holidays!

TGIF, It’s RGB Time!

Have I told you lately that I love the RGB feature of my Imagine? I'm hoping that you are loving it, too.

This week, I've been working with this palette, called "Stephanie's Palette":

(click on the palette for RGB numbers)

They remind me of my daughter! And so does this card:
I used the cartridge "Christmas Village" for the houses and skaters. I trimmed the assembly tabs from the houses and inked edges and windows. I tried inking doors and it was a mess! The Cuttlebug and the "Snowflake" folder gave the back some needed texture. Diamond Stickles (my new favorite!) accented some of the flakes and the skater's feet.

I hope that you imagine incredible ways to use this palette! Hope to see you soon sorting through the scraps and generating your gems!

Until next time, Nonna
