The card pictured is actually the result of the Nutcrackers in November Challenge on the MTC forum. The challenge: to use downloaded paper from PapercraftInspirations. Best of all: it is free! But the paper packs included not just paper, but tags as well. How fun!

Here is how I created the mat background for the card beginning with a simple frame.
