Sewing into Spring!
In a couple of days it will be officially spring! Flowers blooming (gag pollen!), grass greening and temps warming (mostly) here in my part of the world. That combined with FINALLY shedding COVID pounds has inspired me to bring new life to my wardrobe. Here I "sew!"
On to the internet searches for patterns! What a garden to walk through! So many designers, so many places to visit. So many "bushes" from which to choose. There are the "weeds" in this garden of design; but there are so many "blooms" from which to pick. Allwellworkshop is one of my favorites!
First purchase: The Box Top. Super simple with great directions! I assumed that I could estimate my measurements. Bad "seed" planted. The first muslin I stitches was HUGE! Threw that "weed" out and tried again. I relented, and took correct measurements; second muslin was perfect!
I stitched up a simple version with my favorite flower...daisies. So comfortable! And, It took less that an afternoon to completely assemble. (It was much harder to find fashion fabric than it was to stitch I may add!) I do think this will be my go to top for summer!
