A very Sweet first birthday!

My granddaughter will be a year old next month! She is the sweetest baby, always laughing and happy. I made this card to celebrate her. The background paper is Bo Bunny and the cupcake is from Simply Charmed and perfect! The scalloped circle is cut from the Imagine shapes. The cupcake is colored from the Imagine RGB feature. And don't miss the Stickles! The printing was done on my home computer (directions can be found on my blog).
Join me in wishing Kate a very wonderful first birthday! I love you, sweetheart!Posted by Picasa

TGIF it's RGB time!

My house is in chaos! We are undergoing major renovations and there is not a quiet place to be found! Therefore...I apologize for my lack of posting. It will pick up soon, I promise! Until then, in honor of my house I will issue this challenge:
create something for your home using these colors!

TGIF; It's RGB time!

Like all of you, I'm in the process of making valentines. I've created this palette to use on my Imagine as well as in digitally printing my sentiments. Click on the palette to go to the RGB values.

I hope you find many uses for this palette. Leave me a note and let me know what you have created with these colors!

Imagine the perfect valentine!

It is so much fun to play with my Imagine! This is my first Valentine this year and I am in love!

Recipe:
Lori's Garden : "love" cut, color for background, color for blossoms.
Mother's Day Bouquet: blossoms
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing folder
Scraps of Lace
Glaze Pen (accent the word "love")
Holtz' Distress Ink (Antique Linen)
Copics to accent the flowers
Assorted glues
Wooden skewer

For the blossoms: I discovered that if I lightly colored the back of my flower petals with the Copics I had a very natural shading on the front side. In order to have the petals curve I rolled the petals over the wooden skewer. It worked perfectly and I think you'll agree that the flowers look very real. The bud is really a leaf shape, curved tightly at the base.

I know that you will see more of the Mother's Day cart from me. It just simply provides too many things to "imagine!"

Until next time, Nonna

TGIF it's RGB Time!

This card was such fun to make for my husband's birthday and it is so him.

The Recipe:
Millianaire
Heritage
Cuttlebug embossing folder: Argyle
Destressing Ink: Walnut stain
Ribbon

I printed the verse on my home computer using the technique outlined in "My Thursday Crafts". (Click here to see this post)

The palette is found on Colourlovers; it is called "Love Like a Man." Here are the RGB Values used on my Imagine to create this card:

What can you create with this palette?
Until next time, keep sorting the scraps and generate those gems!

I made this card for DH's birthday.

Imagine they are "Old Friends..."

One of my high school buddies is having a birthday...a big one. In his honor I created this ca
Recipe:
Imagine Textures for the background
Imagine basic shapes for the speech bubble and the inside sentiment
Create a Critter
Diamond Stickles
Color Box ink
Perfect Petals Metallic
I rock tool and metal jewels
Craft card stock
Pop dots
My household printer for the sentiment

I used colors from the Imagine's RGB feature to fill the dinosaur; it was so easy! After he was layered I added the Perfect Petals to pull the whole look together. I added the leaves as an after thought!

The background has Diamond Stickle accents to appear as the sun filtering through the leaves.
I used my home printer to create the sentiment and the greeting.

Until next time, keep Imagining what you can create!

Scraps of life---our anniversary!

Thirty-six years ago I married my best friend! I had to share this amazing card that my special friend (met in the Cricut circle, may I add!), Esther sent to us. She nailed us!

Rich, I love you! Just had to tell the world.

And let the remodel begin!

I have spent a weekend getting ready for our downstairs remodel. I sure hope the end will be worth this beginning!

When we moved here I decided I wouldn't move again, ever. So, now, we are packing and wrapping as though we are leaving the area. Even though my craft room is upstairs, Saturday was dedicated o it. The monster quilt frame moved into the now consolidated space. Right now, it looks as though a bomb exploded, but hopefully, it will at least be usable before tonight

So, if you loose me for a couple of days, assume that I am buried in my craft room---literally!

Until next time, I really am sorting scraps! Nonna

My Thursday Crafts

I have come to the realization that I am a font junkie. Over the years I have collected so many and some are very unusual. I also am a computer junkie. I also am a Cricut junkie. It is time to combine my obsessions!

The sentiment on this card was printed on my HP Photosmart Printer. It was super simple and quick. Plus, I can make the sentiment larger or smaller! Or, I can coordinate a poem on the inside of the card.

Card recipe:
Cricut Imagine
Image Cartridge Best Friends
Papers from my stash
Glaze pens for butterflies
two small flat bows
pop dots
Cuttlebug
Swiss dots folder
swirls folder
Color Box Ink

And here's how to print your sentiment:

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all of my followers! The holiday season has been wonderful and it is all too quickly drawing to a close. I've got some plans for this year and I hope that you enjoy them as much as I've enjoyed dreaming of them. I have to say that my scraps have gone through a cleaning cycle and I'm getting back on track "generating the gems!"

Until next time! Nonna
